What Aweigh is
Aweigh gathers marine and weather data from third-party providers and presents a simplified Go / No-Go view for recreational planning. It is not an official forecast source, and it does not produce forecasts of its own. It reads other people's and tells you what they mean for the boat you are taking out.
Not for navigation or safety-critical decisions
Do not rely on Aweigh for navigation, for safety, or for any decision where accuracy matters. Consult the official sources before you get underway: NOAA and the National Weather Service marine forecasts, the U.S. Coast Guard, and local authorities. Use your own seamanship. A rating on a screen is not a substitute for any of that, and it is not intended to be.
No warranty
The information is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Data can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or missing entirely. Third-party services fail, and conditions on the water change faster than any forecast updates. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for any purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kirkor Consulting + Design, LLC and the developers of Aweigh are not responsible for any loss, injury, damage, or mishap at sea, or any other harm, arising from use of or reliance on this site or the application.
Assumption of risk
Boating, fishing, kayaking, and related activities carry inherent risk. You are solely responsible for your own decisions, your vessel, your crew, and your safety.
Changes
These terms carry a version and an effective date, both shown above. When the terms change, the version is raised and the date is set to the day the new text took effect.
