This page covers aweighweather.com, the marketing site, and nothing else. The Aweigh application at app.aweighweather.com stores account information and user preferences and is covered by a separate privacy policy. See also the terms of use.
If you do nothing but read
This site does not set cookies or collect personal information simply because you visited a page. The pages are plain HTML, CSS and a small script file served from this domain. No fonts, no trackers, no embedded content loads from anywhere else.
Standard web server logs may be generated by the hosting platform as part of operating the site. That is ordinary infrastructure, it is not something we read or analyze, and it is not connected to anything else on this page.
The how-to videos on the guides page are hosted on YouTube, but nothing is requested from Google until you press play on one. Until then the thumbnail and the play control are ours. Once you press play, YouTube is delivering that video and its own terms apply to it.
If you send feedback
We store what you typed: the subject, your message, your name and your email address. The form requires a name and an address so that a report can be answered. Neither is verified and neither is added to any list.
We also store a one-way hash of your IP address and a truncated copy of your browser's user agent string. The hash exists to stop the form being flooded; it cannot be turned back into an address. The raw address is never written to the database.
Feedback is read by Roland Rogers at Kirkor IT Solutions and nobody else. It is not shared, sold, or used for advertising.
If you join the update list
We store your email address, when you confirmed it, and which form it came from.
Your address is not added to anything until you click the link in the confirmation email. If someone else types your address into the form, you get exactly one message and no list entry. That is deliberate.
Every message we send carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately and without a login. You can also ask through the feedback form, choosing “A data inquiry” as the subject, and the address will be removed by hand.
Spam protection
Public forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which scores how likely a submission is to be automated. When it is active, Google receives information about your interaction with the form in order to produce that score, under Google's own privacy policy and terms. It is not currently enabled on this environment.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It records pages viewed, approximate location by region, and general device type. It is not used to identify individuals, and it runs on the live site only.
How long any of it is kept
- Feedback: kept while it is still useful to act on, then deleted.
- Update list: kept until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribed rows are kept as a record that you opted out, so a later signup cannot quietly put you back.
- Form abuse records: the IP hash and the outcome, pruned automatically after 30 days.

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you or ask for it to be deleted. Requests are handled manually and answered as promptly as practical. Use the feedback form and choose “A data inquiry” as the subject.
Changes to this page
This policy carries a version and an effective date, both shown at the top. When what the site collects changes, this page changes in the same release, and the version is raised with it.
